What we are learning:
Reading- We are on Unit 3, week 4. The story
of the week is Farfallina and Marcel. The question of the week is: What happens when animals change? The
phonics skill is /f/ spelled Ff. The comprehension skill is plot. The amazing
words for this story are: goose, gosling, caterpillar, butterfly, reflection,
cocoon. The high-frequency words are: see, look.
Math-
We ware beginning Unit 3: Comparing Numbers. The essential
question of the week is: how can numbers from 0 to 10 be ordered and compared?
Please continue to work with your child on counting, identifying, representing,
and writing numbers 0-20.
In Spring Math, we are still working on
finding the missing number up to 10. You can help by working with your child on
identifying and writing numbers up to 10, and counting forward and backward up
to 10.
Writing-
We are on Unit 4 of writing. We are still working on writing lowercase letters,
but we are continuing working on writing sentences and whole words. We are
beginning sentences with a capital letter, ending with a period, and leaving
spaces between words.
