What we are learning:
Reading- We are on Unit 3, week 5. The story of the week is Then and Now. The question of the week is: How are things we use today different from things used long ago? The phonics skill is /o/ spelled Oo. The comprehension skill is draw conclusions. The amazing words for this story are: gears, headphones, webcams, handwritten, phonographs, newspapers. The high-frequency words are: they, you, of .

Math- We are on Unit 3: Comparing Numbers. The essential question of the week is: how can numbers from 0 to 10 be ordered and compared? You can help your child by working with them on comparing numbers 0-10 (identifying  the number that is greater or smaller) and writing numbers that are one fewer or one more than a given number.
In Spring Math, we are still working on finding the missing number up to 10. You can help by working with your child on identifying and writing numbers up to 10, and counting forward and backward up to 10.

Writing- We are on Unit 4 of writing. We are still working on writing lowercase letters, as well as writing sentences and whole words. We are practicing beginning sentences with a capital letter, ending with a period, and leaving spaces between words.
