What we are learning:
Reading- We are beginning Unit 4, week 1. The story of the week is Rooster’s Off to See the World. The question of the week is: What can we learn from our adventures? The phonics skill is /h/ spelled Hh. The comprehension skill is sequence. The amazing words for this story are: world, lonely, trip, horizon, journey, homesick. The high-frequency words: are, that, do
Math- We are on Unit 3: Comparing Numbers. The essential question of the week is: how can numbers from 0 to 20 be ordered and compared? You can help your child by working with them on comparing numbers 0-20 (identifying the number that is greater or smaller) and writing/arranging numbers 0-20 in order.
In Spring Math, students are working on counting circles and circling the corresponding number using numbers 1-20
