Spartan Family,

I can't thank you enough for your support at home through these difficult times! I am here to support you in any way as possible. 

I have office hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3 PM on Google Meet. Please join my office hours to just say hello or if you have any questions/concerns. I would love to hear from you and my students! What we are learning:
Reading- We are beginning Unit 5- Going Places. The story of the week is Makes Takes the Train. We will be having a special guest reader this week! The question of the week is: What are different ways of going places? The phonics skill is /j/ spelled Jj. The comprehension skill is realism and fantasy. The amazing words for this story are: plane, jetway, subway, tunnel, ferryboat, sidecar. The high-frequency words: yellow, blue, green.

Math- We will be taking our Unit 4- Addition test on Monday. We will be beginning Unit 5- Subtraction. The essential question is: How can numbers be taken apart?

Starting next week, we will be reading stories about St. Patrick’s Day and building a leprechaun trap for our classroom!

In Spring Math, students are working on counting circles and circling the corresponding number using numbers 1-20
