- Please continue to practice sight words.
What we are learning:
Reading- We are beginning Unit 5- Going Places. The story of the week is Makes Takes the Train. We will be having a special guest reader this week! The question of the week is: What are different ways of going places? The phonics skill is /j/ spelled Jj. The comprehension skill is realism and fantasy. The amazing words for this story are: plane, jetway, subway, tunnel, ferryboat, sidecar. The high-frequency words: yellow, blue, green.
Math- We will be taking our Unit 4- Addition test on Monday. We will be beginning Unit 5- Subtraction. The essential question is: How can numbers be taken apart?
Starting next week, we will be reading stories about St. Patrick’s Day and building a leprechaun trap for our classroom!
