Week of November 25th-29th

This week in Kindergarten, we talked about all of the things we are thankful for. We also got to make fun Thanksgiving crafts!

Reminders:
There is an early dismissal @ 12 for NSE on 11/27 for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume on 12/03.

Please practice with your child on counting and identifying numbers 1-20.


What we are learning:
Reading: This week we are beginning Unit 3, Week 1. The story of the week is Little Panda. The question of the week is: How does a panda change in its first year of life? The phonics skill is /n/ spelled Nn and /b/ spelled Bb. The comprehension skill is compare and contrast. Grammar skill is verbs. The amazing words are: weigh, measure, healthy, bamboo, curious, explore. The high-frequency words are: me, with, she.

Math: We are continuing with Unit 2: Numbers 11-20. The essential question of the week is: how do we read, write, and count numbers up to 15?

Writing: We will continue with Unit 3 of writing. We will be working on writing lowercase letters.

Reminders:
Students will have an early dismissal on 11/27 at 12:00 for NSE. There is no school on 11/28, 11,29 & 12/02.
If your child mastered their sight word list, the paper was sent home. If your child did not bring home a paper, please continue to work on the list they didn’t master. If your student mastered a list with me, they should move onto the next list

Week of November 4th-8th
