Week of September 30th-October 4th

This week we had so much fun celebrating Johnny Appleseed's birthday! We did fun activities and even food tasting!

Here are some updates for our class:

Events:

HOMECOMING SPIRIT WEEK!!

Monday- Kindergarten students wear the color orange.
Tuesday- Team Tuesday
Wednesday- Western Wednesday
Thursday- Throwback Thursday
Friday- American Pride/Spartan Spirit Friday
*Students must wear dress code if not participating in wearing a themed costume.

Wednesday- Day 3- Library

Friday- Day 5- Music

Reminders:
October PBIS calendar and reading logs will be in folders starting on the 1st. If your child reads 15 books the month of October, he or she will earn a Pizza Hut certificate.
Please make sure to send in $3.00 for the Fall Festival if you haven’t already.


What we are learning:
Reading: This week we are starting Unit 1, Week 5. The story of the week is Smash! Crash! The question of the week is: What do you like to do with your friends? Math: We are wrapping up Unit 6- 2D shapes and 3D solids. We will have our Unit 6 Assessment test at the end of the week.
Writing: We will begin Unit 2 of writing. We will continue to learn how to write uppercase letters and numbers 4-10.
