What we are learning:

Reading- We are on Unit 3, week 2. The story of the week is Little Quack. The question of the week is: What new things can you do as you get older? The phonics skill is/r/ spelt Rr. The comprehension skill is plot. Grammar skill is verbs for now and the past. The amazing words for this story are: duckling, pond, paddle, plunged, proud, brave. The high-frequency words are: me, with, she.

Math- We are continuing with Unit 2: Numbers 11-20. The essential question of the week is: how do we read, write, and count numbers up to 20? Please work with your child on counting, identifying, representing, and writing numbers 11-20. In Spring Math, we are working on finding the missing number up to 10. You can help by working with your child on identifying and writing numbers up to 10, and counting forward and backward up to 10.

Writing- We are beginning Unit 4. We will still be working on writing lowercase letters, but we will also be working on writing sentences. Beginning sentences with a capital letter, ending with a period, and leaving spaces between words.
