-Please continue to practice sight words with your child.
-Please work on counting to 100 with your child.

What we are learning:

Reading- We will be continuing with Unit 3, week 1. The story of the week is Little Panda. The question of the week is: How does a panda change in its first year of life? The phonics skill is /n/ spelled Nn and /b/ spelled Bb. The comprehension skill is compare and contrast. Grammar skill is verbs. The amazing words for this story are: weigh, measure, healthy, bamboo, curious, explore. The high-frequency words are: me, with, she.

Math- We are continuing with Unit 2: Numbers 11-20. The essential question of the week is: how do we read, write, and count numbers up to 15? Please work with your child on counting, identifying, representing, and writing numbers 11-20. In Spring Math, we are working on finding the missing number up to 10. You can help by working with your child on identifying and writing numbers up to 10, and counting forward and backward up to 10.

Writing- We will be wrapping up Unit 3 and beginning Unit 4. We will still be working on writing lowercase letters, but we will also be working on writing sentences. Beginning sentences with a capital letter, ending with a period, and leaving spaces between words.
